If you are really serious about deploying Narcan / Naloxone outdoors, consider using our Outdoor Waterproof Naloxone Cabinet and then after the worst of your freezing season (or heat wave season) just throw the Narcan away and put fresh doses in your cabinet. As we have always said in first-aid discussions, I'd rather have frozen or baked medication - then none at all!

PLEASE NOTE:   There are legislative bodies that have well-intentioned but misguided requirements for Naloxone storage.   Above you will see three studies which concluded that Naloxone works fine after it is frozen and thawed, or heated and cooled.  As taxpayers ourselves, as well as a company where agencies spend their grant funds, we DO NOT RECOMMEND climate-controlled cabinets for most uses.   They are expensive ($4,500 each), they require electricity, they're high maintenance and they will likely cost an additional $2,500 per cabinet for your electricians to install on-site.   In almost all cases you will be able to cover more territory and distribute much more Naloxone by using regular outdoor cabinets or newstand style units that we offer at much  more reasonable prices.
